                               Country Talent Calls Lillington Home

Previous editions of Harnett Life Magazine have offered
feature stories of local individuals with many different
talents, with most, if not all, being native Harnett Coun-
ty residents. Occasionally however, we are fortunate
enough to have someone of incredible talent fall into our
laps. Such is the case with Cindy Standage Jaynes, a
former resident of Phoenix, AZ. Cindy and her husband,
Jay Jaynes, of Savannah, Ga., find themselves in Harnett
County with Jay being the General Manager of the all
new Precision Ford on Main Street in Lillington.

Cindy’s story begins as a young girl growing up in At-
lanta, Ga. Her Mother was a homemaker who took great
pride in her family and in raising her children. Her busi-
nessman Father was a songwriter and a trumpet player in
his early years who performed with the likes of Nat King
           Cole and Sammy Davis, Jr..

Cindy inherited her Father’s love for music. At the age
of 14, she accompanied her Father on a business trip to Singleton, happened to be there. Her Father told them he had
Nashville. They knocked on every record label door they a song and a singer. She began to play for him...but shortly
could find. Her Father had an original song, Spring Is he asked her to stop. Oh no, she thought, but he actually
